Charity quiz puts our thinking to the test

Our thinking was put to the test at the Marie Curie Brain Game at the Hilton Hotel last week which was hosted by quiz master, Christine Hamilton.

We arrived at the Hilton Hotel on Thursday October 2nd dressed to the nines in black tie and evening gowns, with our thinking caps at the ready.

The event was no ordinary pen and paper quiz with sneaky mobiles phones on standby. Oh no, it involved eight interactive rounds with just six seconds to submit answers into an electronic keypad.

Sport was our weakest round and logic was our finest, but with a stupendous recovery in the after dinner session, we managed to make the top six and took to the stage in a ‘Last Man Standing’ finale. After this ultimate ‘finger on the buzzer’ quick-question round, we finished a very respectable 5th out of 20 teams.

All in all, the Marie Curie charity event raised valuable funds during the evening and reminded us all of the exceptional work they do for families in heart-wrenching situations.

Roll on next year when the pressure is on to climb the leader board into the top spot.
