What Northern Rock Ireland asked for
Following our successful and long-standing relationship with Northern Rock, we were invited to pitch for the creative design of the Northern Rock Ireland website, which we won in October 2007.
The brief was to develop a fresh look and feel for the website which reflected their new brand identity and made it easy for customers in Ireland to choose products and manage their savings online. Understanding their target market, their products, and their customers’ online behaviour was key to the success of the site.
We were also asked to optimise the website to ensure the page loading time was more responsive. This was extremely important due to the fact a large proportion of visitors were still using ‘dial-up’ to connect to the Internet.
What we did
Working closely with 3rd party developers, we designed a standards-compliant and creatively engaging website which met the functional specifications and business requirements of Northern Rock Ireland.
We conducted an intensive research programme with the client to understand their current online and offline marketing activities – this included activities in business analysis and interaction design.
Our collaborative approach helped us to deliver this project within the desired timeframes, and of course, enabled us to constantly add value during every stage of the project.
The results
The creative design breathes life into Northern Rock Ireland’s online presence and creates a positive experience for those using the site.
By utilising the latest thinking in user-centred design, we have also made it easier for people to carry out their online tasks and find what they’re looking for in the easiest and most intuitive way possible.
